Program description

Through its Enhancing Mental Health Support in Schools (EMHSS) partnership with the department, headspace provides telephone-based or face-to-face counselling for secondary school students experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.

Implementation considerations

Factors to consider: Students must be identified as having a mild to moderate mental health difficulty. Face-to-face counselling is available to Victorian government schools that are within 80 km of a participating headspace centre. Phone counselling is generally for Victorian government schools who are located more than 50 km from a headspace centre.

How the Fund can be used
